Renaissance Vendor Spring 2025 User Group
Join us for our Spring 2025 User Group!
Conference Highlights
Presentation: To Cue or Not to Cue: What elementary and secondary educators need to know
The Science of Reading, an evidence-based body of research about how we learn to read and write, highlights the need for us to orthographically map phonemes to graphemes to automatically decode words. This mapping process doesn't occur in the absence of explicit, systematic instruction. In other words, we need to teach elementary students the relationship between sounds and their corresponding letters and that looking at pictures or determining which word might make the most sense is not how we learn to decode. How do educators close reading gaps for adolescents reading below grade level? Join Dr. Lynn Kulich for an engaging discussion about how explicit instruction, differentiation, scaffolding, and lots of purposeful practice with graphophonics, syntax, and semantics will help accelerate these readers. The focus will be on how your Renaissance products can assist with assessing and identifying areas of concern in all grade levels.
Afternoon Breakout Sessions
In the afternoon, participate in breakout sessions tailored to help you explore the features of your Renaissance products in depth. These sessions are designed to provide hands-on learning experiences and practical tips to maximize the use of these tools in your classrooms. Learn more about Freckle, Nearpod, myON, Renaissance NEXT, and Student Growth Percentile!
Networking Opportunities
There will be ample opportunities to network with colleagues from around the region. Share insights, exchange ideas, and build connections with fellow educators who are equally passionate about advancing learning.
Light breakfast and lunch will be provided
