Dr. Ellen McDonnell started her professional career over 25 years ago as a mathematics teacher at John Jay High School in Katonah, NY. Very early in her career, Ellen focused on the effective use of technology in the classroom, providing professional development to her colleagues after only a few years of teaching. After serving as an instructional leader, Assistant Principal, Middle School Principal, Executive Director of Technology, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, Pupil Personnel Services, and Technology in various school districts in the region, Ellen joined the LHRIC as the Executive Director in 2022.

Christina Scalise brings to her role as Assistant Director of the LHRIC two decades experience supporting technology in education, both in K-8 and higher education settings. Her responsibilities include financial oversight of the LHRIC budget and management of the Network and Applications Support, including the departments of Financial Services and Student Information Services. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a master’s in Business Administration.

Dr. Madalyn L. Romano brings diverse experience in educational technology, data integration, data privacy and cybersecurity to this new and challenging role at the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center. She started her career at the LHRIC over 25 years ago, as part of the Educational Technology Team where Madalyn supported the use of instructional programs to enhance teaching and learning using technology. After 18 years, she joined the Statewide RIC One Team as a LHRIC team member and regional representative where she focused on data integration and data privacy and security. Madalyn looks forward to working with her colleagues at the LHRIC and across New York State on strategic initiatives to enhance the education of K-12 students.
