STATE REPORTING SERVICES
DESCRIPTION
This state-mandated service is necessary for the transfer of data from public schools districts to the state data repository. It allows districts to be compliant with the demands and timelines established by the State Education Department. This service supports districts in the quest to:
- Report data to all levels of the State Data Warehouse that is complete and accurate.
- Assign each student a unique 10-digit NY ID allowing assessment information to be continuously linked when students move within New York State.

DEADLINE: Load student data – Demographics, Enrollment, Program Service to Level 1 by 2:30 PM for pre-printing January Regents answer sheets

CBT Districts: Updated Demographics, Enrollment, Program Service data due to L1 by 2:30 PM to be pulled for the CBT Simulation in January
NYSED's online request system for Principals to order CBT
and paper booklets for 3-8 ELA, Math & Science opened on
10/2/25 and closes 11/14/25. Once the LHRIC Testing Team
receives updates from NYSED on orders placed they will
send out order summaries to CIO's and TS coordinatorsState Reporting -
ESSA Appeals to preliminary Accountability Status due on the SED Monitoring section of the NYSED portal.
Districts should review data closely and prepare supporting evidence for any appeal submissions.
Modified survey that is intended to clarify which indicators are being appealed for each subgroup.

Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) will now be notified in the Fall of their annual NYSAA status, including required Tier 1 supports and Tier 2 and 3 required interventions.Tier 1: Please refer to the 2024-2025 NYSAA participation data, posted on the Office of Special Education NYSAA Justification webpage, to determine your Tier 1 NYSAA classification. All LEAs with participation rates above the 1.0 percent cap are required to complete the “Justification for Exceeding 1.0 Percent State-level Cap on New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) Participation and Assurance of Participation in Tier 1 Universal Technical Assistance and Supports (2024-2025 NYSAA Participation Data)” form in the IRS Data Exchange (IDEx).
The New York State Education Department recognizes that many LEAs have recently completed the NYSAA Tier 1 supports in Spring of 2025, and therefore, for Fall of 2025, there will be an option to choose on the form, certifying that staff have already completed NYSAA Tier 1 Supports to satisfy the requirements.
The completed NYSAA Justification and Assurance form must be submitted via IDEx no later than December 31, 2025
Tier 2 (LEAs that exceed 2.0 percent) and Tier 3 (LEAs that exceed 2.5 percent) will be notified separately by the NYSED Office of Special Education (OSE) of their required intervention. Questions relating to the 1.0 percent NYSAA State-level Cap may be directed to the OSE Policy Unit at speced@nysed.gov.
· Questions relating to Tier 2 and 3 required interventions may be directed to the OSE Educational Partnership – Regional Partnership Center.
· Questions regarding the NYSAA participation data or about IDEx may be directed to the Office of Information and Reporting Services at datasupport@nysed.gov

DEADLINE: BEDS Enrollment 1st Data Pull, includes FRPL
BEDS Enrollment 1st data pull by grade, district of residence, and supplemental enrollments including FRPL 1st Data Pull for calculating preliminary State Aid allocations -Enrollment counts are used to create the USDE ED Facts Directory, the official directory of all schools and districts for federal reporting, as a sampling frame for federal statistical studies, defines the universe for the CRDC, and populates the schools used on the FAFSA.

- Grades 3-8 English Language Arts,
- Grades 3-8 Mathematics,
- Grades 5 & 8 Science,
- Annual Regents Examinations,
- Total Cohort Regents Examinations,
- New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT),
- New York State Alternate Assessments (NYSAA) and
- The most recent results on the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) administered by the National Center for Educational Statistics.
- Data is publicly available on the NYSED Public Data Site.

Public Release -NYSED 2023-24 State Report Card Group IV Data

The 2023-24 NYS Report Card Group IV release includes information of post-secondary enrollment, such as counts of Graduates in calendar years 2023, and counts and percentages of student enrolled in NYS Public, Private, and Out-of-State 2- and 4-year higher education institutions within 16 months of graduation. Postsecondary enrollments are available on the NYSED Public Data Site.

Public Release- NYSED 2023-24 Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Report

The AP and IB report provide course participation and assessment proficiency performance data. It is an important part of the Board of Regents’ effort to create and transparently report on educational equity for all students, and provides some insights about College, Career, and Civic Readiness. Information in this report is aggregated by grade level and can be filtered by student subgroups (Gender, Race, Ethnicity, and Other).

Public Release of the 2024-2025 NYS Public School Enrollment Report

Available are enrollment counts for public and charter school students by various demographics for the 2024-2025 school year.
